Event Description

THE GOSPEL OF MARK - a traveller arrives to tell the story of a preacher and miracle-worker whose dynamic presence touches the lives of all who meet him…

There is joy and sorrow, comedy and pathos, as Mark’s fast-moving narrative brings the characters to life.

Devised & performed by Revd. Ian Birkinshaw. Show duration approximately 2 hours including interval.

TICKETS: are free and optional. Don't worry if you don't have one, just turn up on the door. However, if you are able to book in advance it helps us plan.

THE VENUE: The Citadel on Gillygate, opened by General Booth in 1883, is now the home of York City Church. It still has the words "SALVATION ARMY" in large friendly letters above the front gates - you can't miss it!

SEATING: All seating unallocated, and accessible from street level. Please arrive early to find your place. Late arrivals may be required to wait for a suitable break in the programme.

CHILDREN: Our guideline for this event is 12+.

PARKING: Union Terrace, YO31 7WS (Pay & Display, 1 minute walk). Monk Bar, YO31 7QR (Pay & Display, 5 minute walk).
